Chelsea FC on Friday announced through their official website that forward, Eden Hazard’s amazing performances in Sept has earned him a nomination for the EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month Award.

Eden Hazard is joined by Wolves defender, Willy Boly, & Arsenal striker, lexandre Lacazette, Leicester City midfielder, James Maddison, Everton midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.

The 27-year-old player scored five goals in four league games, including a hat-trick against Cardiff and two against Bournemouth & Liverpool respectively.

The Belgium international has won the award once before, in Oct 2016.

The winner will be announced next week Friday, which is 12 October 2018.

It has emerged why European footballs governing, UEFA, changed the Kick-offs of matches in the Champions League this year.

In previous years, European Matches in premier competition began at 7.45pm with the exception of a handful of matches played in locations such as Russia.

But it's a different thing entirely this season, matches will kick-off at 5.55pm and 8pm.

Two matches will generally take place in the early slot, with the remaining six at 8pm through the group stage.

Barcelona FC and Tottenham are first to feature in the early kick-offs with the clubs facing PSV Eindhoven and Inter respectively at 5.55pm.

The reason for this change, according to Express Sports, is that UEFA hopes that more fans will  Turn up now & be able to watch the matches due to different times.

It’s also hoped that the change will boost international figures resulting in increased revenue.

While the plan may work on a worldwide scale, it leaves European fans in a rush to get home for the earlier kick-off slots.

For the fans in Australia and Asia, a 5.55pm kick-off time will see the match begin at 12.55am instead of 2.45am.

Eric Bailly believes that Jose Mourinho blames him for the embarrassing defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion, according to the Mirror.

He had since played just two minutes after the 3-2 defeat.

Eric Bailly was signed from Villarreal in a £30milllion transfer with the expectation he could add some consistency to Manchester United’s defence.

But, the player has changed his defence this season as he searches for the best centre-back partnership.

The newspaper said that Eric Bailly has now decided to join Arsenal FC in January.

Tottenham are also tipped to move for the 24-year-old player.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino watched Eric Bailly in action when he was still a Villarreal player, and would be keen to bring him to Mauricio in Tottenham FC .

Eric Bailly’s quitting Manchester United could happen as soon as January if he continues to sit on the bench for United.

While Victor Lindelof was recalled to the starting eleven against Burnley, Bailly has watched from the sidelines since the Brighton loss.

Bailly has two years left on his current deal, but is concerned about falling down the pecking order at United.

The Crystal Palace winger Wilfred Zaha was one of the five most-fouled players in the Premier League last season, and it is a trend that has continued into the new campaign.

Zaha has played in four of the Eagles’ five games so far this season and has been fouled 11 times. Only Leicester’s James Maddison, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Will Hughes of Watford have been fouled more.

Since the start of last season the Crystal Palace man – fouled 87 times – is behind only Richarlison,  Eden Hazard, Jordan Ayew and Dele Alli.

Rewind even further, to August 2013, and Eden Hazard is the only Premier League player to have been stopped unlawfully more times than Wilfred Zaha.

Arsenal FC legend, Nigel Winterburn, has just said Manchester United and Chelsea will be battling it out for the signature of Gunners midfielder, Aaron Ramsey.

Aaron Ramsey is out of contract at the end of the season and talks over an extension have not progressed.

Winterburn, who won six major honours with Arsenal, noted that Aaron Ramsey is waiting to see what effect Unai Emery has on the club.

“I think Ramsey isn’t committing to a new Arsenal contract because he wants to see where they finish this season,” he told Sportingbet.

“With a new manager coming in, there’s a lot of uncertainty around the club and I would probably do the same.

“I think Ramsey loves the club, but he is looking around the dressing room and he isn’t convinced this group of players can qualify for major honours in the near future.

“Ramsey will want to find out Emery’s plans for him and the signings he is looking to make before he decides if Arsenal can match his ambitions.

“The conundrum for Arsenal is that Ramsey will be looking at the money on the table and thinking it is short of what he should be earning and could be earning elsewhere.

“Ramsey is perfectly entitled to ask for a wage he feels reflects his ability.

Manchester City current manager, Pep Guardiola, has admitted he wants to finish his coaching career with Barcelona’s academy team.

Pep Guardiola was part of Barcelona’s 1990s dream team, before taking his first steps in management with the B team in 2007.

Between 2008 and 2012, he won 14 trophies with Barcelona’s first team, before three seasons with Bayern Munich and arriving in Manchester in 2016.

The 47-year-old told Spanish TV: “I will finish again where I started. My last steps will be in the youth teams – I hope at Barca. I believe it’s – to start, it’s the best.”

The Catalan, however, said he would not return to work with the top team.

“My time there as a coach is finished because I’m not the same as I was then, nor is the way they see me the same,” Guardiola said.

“I had the time of my life there, when the world was our oyster, with some incredible players.

“I was at a fantastic age in which I was taking on the world. We took it on with some incredible players, a young president (Joan Laporta), Txiki (Begiristain).

Ex Chelsea scout, Daniel Boga, has claimed that Kylian Mbappe’s mother pulled the plug on the player’s possible move to the Premier League club in 2012.

Kylian Mbappe trained with the Blues for a week as a 13-year-old and played in a junior fixture, impressing coaches with his raw talent.

But according to Daniel Boga, the Premier League club were unconvinced by his work-rate and asked him to come back for another trial, a request his mum Fayza Lamari rejected.

Daniel Boga told Goal: “I brought him over with his family.

“He was skilful, like he is now. He played against Charlton and won 7- 0.

“After a week at Chelsea, we went into the office. We said, “Listen, we appreciate what we saw from you but we have to invite you back for another trial and we’ll see after that.”

“I remember what the mother said to this day. She spoke in French and I was translating.

“She said to me, “Listen, my boy won’t be coming back. If they want him they have to take him now or in five year’s time they will be coming back to buy him for €50million!”‘

Boga, who refused to translate Fayza’s warning to his Chelsea colleagues, added: “He was very skilful but in England they want to see the player track back and be a hard worker. At the time, he wasn’t a hard worker.

“Defensively, he wasn’t there yet. When he got the ball, he was unbelievable, but without the ball, he didn’t work a lot.

“Chelsea wanted to see him again to see how he could improve on this. I think that’s why they asked him back. He did skilful things and dribbled well. So, maybe the thing they wanted to see in the second trial was improved work on the defensive side.

“They should have signed him. To be fair, though, it is easy to say that now. But, at the time, Chelsea had a good squad.”
